On every ghost walk we will have ONE Ghost Walk Tour guide with you while you are on the walk plus our own Ghost Walk Security.  For larger crowds we will have additional Ghost Walk Security on the walks.  We take our customers safety very seriously but we also need you to be vigilant while walking on the uneven roads and paths and ensuring you use your road safety, and keep the little ones with you at all times.

About the 7.00pm & 8.30pm ghost tour:

With the use of adult humour we delve into the blood-curdling parts of history. Learn the torturous methods used by unscrupulous characters to the grisly details of our most prolific killers who haunt old Newcastle. With the use of ghost hunting tools we will try and contact the spirit of a young girl who haunts one of our sites. The ghost walk offers visitors a thrill like no other attraction in Newcastle. This tour is aimed at an adult audience and children are not allowed on this tour.

Price per person: Adults £8.00 each, NO Under 16s. Students with student cards are £6.00 each. Members only £6.00 each. For private party bookings and Schools please email for group discounts.

Length of tour: 1 hour and 15 minutes.
This tour may not be suitable for children under 12 years of age. Due to the content of our tour, children under the age of 4 are not allowed on this tour. The tour is also unsuitable for wheel chare access due to the structure of the Castle Garth and its many steps and cobbles. Any one taking part in the tour should know that the Castle Garth contains old steps and very dark walking locations.

Please note the following terms of the ghost walks:

• Strictly NO children allowed on the 8.30 pm Ghost Walk due to the content.  Over 18's only.  We reserve the right to refuse admission to the 8.30 pm ghost walk if we feel anyone in your party is under 16 years of age.
• Offer does NOT apply to the Halloween Ghost Tours
• *To receive your £2 discount per person you must PRE BOOK with us.  To book now call us on 0191 44 00078 and let us know how many people, what date and what time you plan to attend the Ghost Walk and you will receive a discount of £2 per person. Only PRE BOOKED parties will receive this offer.
• Children attending the 7 pm walk Under 12 years go free (1 under 12 per paying adult).
• The Ghost Walks run every weekend (unless listed in the News Section).
• Meet at the Newcastle Ghost Walk sign opposite Castle Keep in Newcastle.
• The tour starts off at 7.10pm and 8.40pm, you must be booked on the tour 10-15 minutes before the tour is about to start.
• Costume guides only where costume in good weather from 1st of June till November.
• PLEASE NOTE GHOST WALKS DO NOT RUN ON WEEKDAY EVENINGS and DO NOT RUN INSIDE THE CASTLE KEEP.
• We reserve the right to cancel ghost tours without notice due to extreme weather conditions or if a tour guide is ill. Cancelled events will be posted on our website and our phone network.

Alone in the Dark Entertainment are looking for a creative friendly and confident tour guides that are looking for a challenging job with the opportunity to move up in a fast growing company. This position is for the Newcastle Ghost Walks.

• You must be over 21 as you will be visiting pubs on some tours
• You must be able to handle and deal with the city night life
• You must be able to deal with arising situations that involve the police
• Trust worthy with no criminal records due to cash handling and dealing with under 18s
• You must have some sales background to be successful at this job
• Driving license with own vehicle or access to a vehicle is essential
• You must ok with dealing with the media and been featured in magazines, radio interviews, news paper interviews and dealing with the media as a whole
• You must be able to handle situations of a paranormal nature (Attacks, Strange Phenomenon, Sightings and many other issues) as well as safely remove the public from these locations without panicking the customers.
• Full Tour Guide training given
• Full sales training given
• Part Paranormal Investigation Training Given

The Tours run on weekends every Friday and Saturday at 7pm and 8.30pm. Some weekends there will be very few customers others will be a sell out. You will also be running the tours in all weather, all year round. You will also be a self employed tour guide in control of your own NI and Tax. The tour guide wages are £15 per tour and £1 per sale per ticket with chance or making up to £60 per tour on top of your £15 per tour. If you fail to sell tickets then your make what turns up on the night to a maximum of £30 excluding your own sales. Maximum that can be earned is £30 for 3 hours work and a maximum of £120 from sales per day.
