Stuck for something to do this Saturday? Why not join Alone in the Dark at Sunderland Aircraft Museum (NEAM)?
Located on Old Washington Road in Sunderland (SR5 3HZ for you Sat Nav fans), the museum houses over thirty aircraft, and tells the fascinating story of aviation history across the north east. If you don't want to come for the planes, then come for the ghosts - various spectres are associated with the site, including disembodied legs, flashing lights in the hangers, and a phantom who walks with a cane. A Czech spy is even said to wander the site, taking with him an oppressive atmosphere, while both hot and cold spots are felt around the museum.
However, it wouldn't be an AITDE investigation without a dollop of the dark side - and the former RAF base has ties with a Roman graveyard and even plague pits on the site! Most Haunted have visited the museum and now you can too - we'll be investigating the museum on 18th February and 26th May.
